PURPOSE:To enable provision of clear identification information regardless of a state in which a half-wrapper is arranged, and smooth an inspection by providing an ink jet printer which bales identification information indicating the relationship between a half-wrapper and paper under a non-contact condition. CONSTITUTION:If a bundle T is transported and comes to a stanstill, the rotating mechanism part 4 of a broad half-wrapper serial number printer 2 is started, first to move the body of a printer 3 to an alpha1 direction. Then the head surface of a printing head 8 of the body 3 of the printer is allowed to face a horizontal half-wrapper K1 among other broad half-wrappers K of the bundle T with some interval provided. Under this state, a drive mechanism part 9 of the body 3 of the printer is actuated to move the printing head 8 to an arrow direction. At that time, ink is ejected to the horizontal half-wrapper k1 from the head surface of the printing head 8 to label identification information onto the horizontal half-wrapper k1. Next, the rotating mechanism part 4 rotates the body 3 of the printer at 90 deg. to an alpha2 direction so that the head surface of the printing head 8 at the body 3 of the printer is allowed to face a vertical half-wrapper k2 among broad half-wrappers K of the bundle T with some interval provided. Then identification information is labeled to the vertical half-wrapper k2. |
