<p>A vane wheel (1) forms an operating chamber (8) in a housing (5) with operating medium inlet and outlet channels (6,7) and recesses for identical rollers (11) forming additional sealing gaps (12,13). The additional sealing gaps divide the working chamber with operating medium delivery and removal chambers. The gaps have slots enabling passage of the wheel vanes as the wheel is rotated by the medium synchronously with the rollers. Each recess contains pockets (9) between which seals are formed. The sizeof each sealing gap (12,13) is selected to be between 0.0005 and 0.002 times the dia. of the roller (11). The length of the sealing surface is in the range 0.05 to 0.2 times the roller dia.</p> |
