PURPOSE:To obtain sheet to be thermally transferred with a superior whiteness by forming an acceptive layer which accepts dye to be shifted to the surface of a base sheet from a thermal transfer sheet, providing dyeing affinity to the acceptive layer and limiting the surface reflection characteristics of a surface where the acceptive layer is provided to a specified range. CONSTITUTION:An acceptive layer which accepts dye which is shifted to the surface of a base sheet from thermal transfer sheet is formed. Said acceptive layer has dyeing affinity and the surface reflection characteristics are such that values L, a and b when the characteristics are measured by a method prescribed by JIS-Z8722 and indicated by a method prescribed by JIS-Z8730 are L=90 or more, a=-11.0 to +2.0 and b=-2.0 to -0.5 respectively. Paper or synthetic resin sheet is used as a base sheet for the sheet to be transferred. Polyester, ester polyacrylate or a mixture of copolymer of these chemicals are used as resins for the acceptive layer. |
