The pump mechanism has a rotary portion (4) carrying a number of pushing members (1) equally spaced around its circumference. The push members are positioned to engage against a receiver member (2). The receiver is connected rigidly to the balance mechanism (5) of the pump, and drives it with a vertical reciprocating motion. The receiver member is formed by a pneumatic wheel to absorb the initial impacts of the pushing members. USE - Simple pump construction, e.g. for drive by animal traction etc.
