The platform, attached to a vehicle for accommodating handicapped persons with their wheelchairs can be moved through three positions, viz. one where it is partly extended from the rear of the vehicle, but not touching the ground, one where it is in its completely operable position with its base structure (13,14,15) on the ground with a gentle gradient (17) upwards to a flat platform (18) at vehicle floor level, and one where it is folded upwards to form a step projecting outwards from the rear of the vehicle. - It is hydraulically (22) operated by the vehicle driver from his normal location. |
