摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To prevent shape faults by predicting vertical direction deflection of the work rolls based on the direction and value of tangential driving force of the small diameter work rolls, then correcting the set value of a shape control actuator based on this predicted values. CONSTITUTION:When the schedule of the plate thickness rolling reduction and the base material plate crown are given, the target plate crown required for a i-th pass is obtained by a prescribed equation. On the other hand, the i-th pass rolling load is obtained by a given work roll diameters, plate thickness and the inlet and outlet sides plate thickness of the i-th pass, inlet and outlet sides tensions, deformation resistance of the rolled stock and the friction coefficient between the work rolls and rolled stock. Similarly, torques of the work roll shafts at the i-th pass are obtained and the roll driving tangential force is obtained by the equation. Further, because the plate width and the roll diameter are given, unknown numbers in the equation are only bending forces FW, FI of the work rolls and intermediate rolls. The value FI at each pass can be determined assuming FW = constant, or conversely, FW is determined assuming FI = constant.</p>
