PURPOSE:To prevent an erroneous operation by providing an operation detection means for a service operation inhibiting member and a means to permit the action of a service operation part only when the operation detection means detects the open state of the service operation part. CONSTITUTION:As long as a service door 1 provided on the enclosure 3 of a laser beam printer 2 is closed, for instance, a switch actuation piece 5 attached to the side of the service door 1 and a microswitch 4 are junctioned, and the microswitch 4 is closed. CPU judges that the service door 1 is closed and starts an operating sequence as usual. When the door 1 is open, the microswitch 4 is open and a service operation is permitted. Therefore, if the service operation is left unperformed, it subsequent operation is not involved in a routine. |
