发明名称 POWER TRANSMISSION ON-OFF MECHANISM
摘要 PURPOSE:To improve the torque transmission performance by mounting a means which operates in connection with the relative revolution of both propeller shaft members to generate the viscous resistance force, a means which operates on the thrust force to generate the frictional engaging force by which both members are joined with each other to transmit power, and a means which converts the viscous resistance force to the thrust force. CONSTITUTION:When relative revolution is generated between both propeller shafts 25 and 26, differential revolution is generated among an outer case 11, an inner case 12 and an operating plate 13 so that a viscous friction torque T is generated between the plate 13 and a primary cam member 14. The resistance force F at each ball 18 is T1R (the R standing for the radius of the orbital circle of the balls 18). The resistance force F is converted by a thrust converting means 10c to a thrust used to operate a frictional engagement generating means 10b. A cam member 14 pushes a cam member 17 by this thrust force to make frictional engagement of a clutch plate 15 with a clutch disk 16. As a result, both cases 11 and 12 are connected to enable torque transmission so that the power of the shaft 25 may be transmitted to the shaft 26.
