PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of breakage and defect of a shaft and permit the automatic snap ring fitting work by holding a shaft in the recessed part of a holder and correctly adjusting a hole for supplying the snap ring to a groove on the shaft and sending the snap rings one by one from a guide member. CONSTITUTION:A holder 2 having a recessed part for holding a shaft 3 having a groove 30 for fitting a snap ring 6 and a rectangular hole 15 which is opened to the recessed part and shifts the snap ring 6 is provided, and a positioning plate 25 positioned so as to adjusting the groove 30 on the shaft in the recessed part to the rectangular hole 15 and a snap ring guide member 7 which supports a number of snap rings 6 and arranges the most front parts in the rectangular hole 15 are provided. Only the snap ring 6 in the most front part is shifted in the rectangular hole 15 and pressed towards the groove 30 on the shaft by a cylinder 21 by a snap ring pusher 17 and fitted into the groove 30. With such constitution, the groove 30 on the shaft is correctly adjusted to the rectangular hole 15 for supplying the snap ring 6 by the positioning plate 25, and the snap ring 6 is surely transported one by one from the snap ring guide member 7 and fitted into the groove 30 on the shaft. |
