PURPOSE:To detect the time when the contact of an original contact piece reaches near the life limit by the opened state of the second contact piece by providing the second contact piece interlocked with the original contact piece. CONSTITUTION:The original movable contact 11 of an electromagnetic contactor is separated from a fixed contact 14 by the distance A in the released state, but the contacts are consumed as a result of contact actions and the gap is increased. The second contact piece support 20, the second movable contact piece 21, and a movable contact 22 belonging to it are overlappingly provided on the back of the original movable contact piece 10. A fixed contact 25 is provided to face the contact 22, when the contacts 11 and 14 are opened by the distance A, the contacts 22 and 25 are closed. When the contacts 11 and 14 are closed by the excitation of the electromagnetic contactor and the contacts 11 and 14 are consumed to the vicinity of the limit value, the contacts 22 and 25 are opened, the opened state is detected by a display lamp 26. |
