The invention relates to a series of individual cages for containing poultry during the force-feeding period. The said cages 1 are arranged in parallel on a frame 2 in a symmetrical manner. They are articulated onto a spindle 4 integral with the transverse sides 5. They are immobilized in the horizontal or inclined position using a cross member 7 joining each cage of one series, and calipers 10, integral with the frame 2. The said cages 1 comprise a bottom 6 extended by lateral 12 and transverse 13, 14 sides. The sides 12 receive a fixed 15 and mobile 16 lid provided with an opening 17 which allows the neck of the poultry to pass. The side 14 is mobile in order to allow introduction of the poultry into the cage 1. The openings 17 of the series of symmetrical cages 1 are arranged so as to face each other so that the necks of the poultry are in line with a central drinking trough 19. <IMAGE>
