The invention relates to a method of manufacturing square or rectangular ducts intended to be joined together. This method, of the type consisting in folding a plane metal sheet 1 along transverse folds 2, is characterised in that the said metal sheet 1 is also folded along at least one longitudinal fold 3 in order to obtain a duct 4 which includes at least one folded sheet-metal frame 5 to which are attached, by welding, elements 8 corresponding to the corners 7 which do not include material of the said folded sheet-metal frame(s) 5. The purpose of the method according to the invention is to limit the welding surface area of the duct 4 and is thus applicable to any part intended to be easily decontaminated, cleaned or repainted. <IMAGE>
