Vertical gas-fired hot water boiler - has modular construction with close coupled combustion chamber and heat exchangers

The boiler comprises six district sections (1) - (6) in a stacked formation and close-coupled. The top vessel (1) is a horizontal spiral water box with water inlet (18) and outlet (20). The burner (14) is supported in the centre. The outlet water pipe extends into a helical bent exchanger (21) around the combustion chamber (2). Below the combustion chamber is a convection heat exchanger (3) comprising a circle of fume tubes (36) within the vertical water tubes (40). The fumes discharge into the smoke box (4) with the water flowing to an outlet leader (29). A further heatexchange (5) similar to the heatexchanger is situated below the smoke box to recover the latent heat from the mositure in the flue gases. The base consists of th condensate collector (6). ADVANTAGE - The boiler is designed for fabrication and assembly by robotics.
