PURPOSE:To improve reliability of a joint between dissimilar materials by welding, by electron beam welding, etc., pipe material with the same material as a member to the end face of the member with thinner thickness in the axial direction at least of a joining body as blank made by joining dissimilar metal material members to reduce a temperature-rise of the joint. CONSTITUTION:When stainless steel piping is connected to Zr piping, for instance, a Ta thin plate 9 is subjected to explosive joining to a stainless steel plate 7 in advance to improve the joining property and tabular clad material which is formed by subjecting a Zr plate 8 with thickness thinner than the plate 7 to explosive joining is provided thereon and a pipe stock 10 as the joining body as blank is cut out from said clad material. A pipe stock of a Zr pipe 11 with the same material practically as the Zr plate 8 of said pipe stock 10 and almost the same inside and outside diameters as the pipe stock 10 is then abutted on the Zr plate 8 at a groove 12 and subjected to electron beam welding. Accordingly, since the surface of the clad material is used as the groove face of the Zr plate 8 as it is, the thickness of the Zr plate 8 is not almost reduced, hence the distance extending to a clad material joining boundary from a boundary of an electron beam weld zone 13 is kept fully. |
