PURPOSE:To facilitate the detection of the state of curing without fail at a site, by coating the surface of a substrate with a photopolymerizable paint formed by adding a photochromic compound to a photopolymerizable resin and curing the paint while monitorning the state of curing under irradiation with light. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a substrate is coated with a photopolymerizable paint formed by adding a photochromic compound which changes its color by photochromism (e.g., mercury complex of dithizone or triphenylmethan eleuconitrile) to a photopolymerizable resin such as an unsaturated polyester resin or a (meth)acrylate resin (in a dry film thickness of 2-1,000mum), and is irradiated with light to form a cured film while monitoring the state of curing by a change in the color of the surface of the paint film. The amount of said photochromic compound added is 0.05-10pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. photocurable resin component. It is also possible that a primer containing a photochromic compound is used while a photopolymerizable paint free of any photochromic compound is used as an intermediateor finish coating. |
