The underbody protection of cars in the form of sprayed-on tar, wax and plastic or metal materials does not permanently protect the underbody from corrosion. As a result the underbody on cars corrodes after a short time and becomes unroadworthy. The intention of the novel underbody protective trough is to give the cars a long service life. In order to protect the underbody of cars against corrosion, a trough (double bottom) is attached fixedly or removably to the underbody of cars. The underbody protective trough provides protection against corrosion of the underbody for all cars.
