PURPOSE:To shorten a processing time eliminating a noise by executing an average operation for a picture data inputted at every vertical scanning cycle with the use of an averaging circuit. CONSTITUTION:The switching action of a switching circuit 3 is executed in synchronization with a vertical synchronization signal, and the picture data of continuous (n-1) pictures are respectively stored into frame memories Mi (i=1-n-1). The picture data of a last n-th picture are directly inputted to an averaging circuit 5. The average operation is executed for the picture data stored to the respective frame memories Mi and the picture data of the n-th picture by the averaging circuit 5, and its result is stored into an averaging frame memory 6. Since the average operation time of the averaging circuit is negligibly small with respect to the other time, the processing time for noise elimination is the sum between a storing time to the respective frame memories and the storing time to an averaging frame memory. Thus, the processing time for the noise elimination can be shortened. |
