The invention concerns a device for ensuring self-righting and correct positioning of bomb-type objects such as anti-tank mines. It has been found that when exposed to impact due to the detonation of nearly mines or to the firing of guns in the vicinity of a mine, the latter may be overturned due to the elasticity of its self-righting device. In a self-righting device (10) for a bomb-type object (12), the wire frame (24) which serves to right said object is reinforced by a strut (34) so that said object remains securely positioned even when exposed to detonation. The strut (34) associated with each wire frame (24) is hinged by a first hinge joint (32) to the bomb-type object (12) and by a second hinge joint (42) to a sliding clip (36) which slides longitudinally on the wire frame (24). When the wire frame (24) swings away completely from the bomb-type object (12), the sliding clip (36) of each wire frame (24) is locked in position, thereby preventing the wire frame (24) from swinging back.
