For the dust-free and water-tight accommodation of first-day covers, in a manner secured against slipping, a transparent pocket of plasticizer-free plastic is formed, which contains two automatically opening and closing insertion chambers which correspond to DIN A5 dimensions. The chambers can be closed by means of a pressure closure or a touch-and-close closure. They are formed by the provision of a welded separation seam. The openings of the chambers extend parallel to an edge strip with a perforation which serves to fix the transparent pocket in an eyelet-type file with double or quadruple perforation.
