In a device for controlling a window/headlamp wiper of vehicles, in particular motor vehicles, with a moisture sensor which is subjected to the moisture surrounding the vehicle and which produces an output signal as a function of the moisture, having an evaluation circuit which evaluates the output signal of the moisture sensor and controls a wiper motor as a function of the output signal, a second moisture sensor is provided which is subjected to the moisture surrounding the vehicle and which produces a second output signal as a function of the moisture. The evaluation circuit also evaluates the output signal of the second moisture sensor and only activates the wiper motor to move the window/headlamp wiper if both output signals of the moisture sensor indicate the presence of moisture. By these means, a device is to be provided which permits reliable control of the window/headlamp wiper without distracting the driver of the vehicle.
