Reagent composition and test strips for detecting constituents in body fluids

Composition for detecting a constituent in body fluids which has one or more reagents needed to detect a specific constituent and, as carrier for the reagent, a sulphonated polyester resin. Also disclosed is a test strip for detecting a constituent in body fluids which has a support to which the composition is applied. Since the carrier is hydrophilic, the samples are able to penetrate rather quickly into the composition, and the constituent can be determined accurately within a short time.
