Current path made of high-temperature superconductors
摘要
"High-temperature" superconductors consist of oxide ceramics and are too brittle for wires or other conductors which can be laid around curves and have a relatively large cross-section to be made from them. It has so far been possible to make flexible conductors from this material only in thin films which are only limitedly flexible and have a low current-carrying capacity. In order to make a current path from a superconducting material with a large cross-section which can be laid in any curves and can be produced economically, the invention provides for components to be formed from the superconducting material which have at least two contact surfaces which are parallel or form an angle. The contact surfaces consist of the thinnest possible metal contact regions. Such components can be connected together in series to form any desired conductors. <IMAGE>
