Clock having an electronic clock module

A description is given of a clock having an electronic clock module, a display unit and a generator. The generator is driven by a mechanical spring winding device and supplies the electrical energy for the electronic clock module without the interposition of a battery. The clock according to the invention is distinguished in that the generator is a synchronous motor/generator which operates in the generator mode or in the motor mode and is connected to a buffer or a load resistor via an electronic switch which is controlled by the electronic clock module, and in that the mechanical clockwork synchronised in this way by the electronic clock module drives the display unit, which is constructed as a conventional hand.
