PURPOSE:To obtain a photographic sensitive material having high sensitivity, causing scarce fog generation and having superior rapid processing characteristic by incorporating silver halide particles having a wavy surface and a layer structure having at least one distinct interface, into a silver halide emulsion layer. CONSTITUTION:Silver halide particles having a wavy surface and at least one interface constituted of a distinct layer structure are incorporated into at least one silver halide emulsion layer. Said silver halide particles having a wavy surface are those having wavy surface of the particles formed by protrusions, wherein the shape of the surface of the protrusions are regular or irregular such as pyramidal, ridge shape, etc. Thus, a silver halide photographic sensitive material having superior rapid processing characteristic, superior relation between the sensitivity and fogging characteristic, high sensitivity and extremely low fogging characteristic, is obtd. which provides sufficiently good picture image and high preservability. |
