Deep soil fertilisation and aeration - with foam pieces charged with fertilisers, etc

Soil is deep-fertilised and aerated by introducing, in the dry or moist state, elongated pieces of open celled foam loaded with fertilisers, plant protection agents, pest baits and/or other agent for ensuring and stimulating growth. The foam is pref. hydrophilic or hydrophobic of density 6-50 kg/m3. The pieces may be introduced into ready made holes in the ground, or may be moistened, frozen, sharpened at one end and driven into the ground. Dew catchers may be fitted to the tops of the pieces.
