Slot probe

In order to be able to use a slot probe to extract samples of air or other gas flowing in a conduit without the cost of a network of measurements, the flow at the place of extraction having a circular cross-section, it is proposed to arrange in the conduit (1, 1') a probe arm (2) covering at least half of its diameter, the probe being rotatable through 360@ about a shaft (3) provided in the conduit (1) and being fastened so as to be drivable from outside. The axis of the shaft (3) coincides with the axis of the conduit (1), the upstream part of the probe arm (2) forming a flow channel (4), which is connected via a connecting support (4.1) to a diversion channel (5), and the upstream front side (6) having a slot (7) extending along the probe arm (2). <IMAGE>
