The invention describes a stove insert (1). This insert has a combustion chamber (12) and a convection shell (17) which is assigned to the bottom, top, side and rear walls (13 to 16) of the combustion chamber (12). Arranged between the combustion chamber (12) and the convection shell (17) is a convection chamber (9) which is connected to the ambient air via an inlet (8) and an outlet (10). A flue-gas outlet (31) is arranged in the top wall (15) of the combustion chamber (12). A draught-regulating device (11) is provided for the combustion air and the flue gases. Arranged between the flue-gas outlet (31) and the combustion chamber (12) is a deflection plate (27) for the flue gas, which forms a flue-gas channel (30) with the top wall (15) and the rear wall (14) of the combustion chamber (12). The draught-regulating device (11) comprises a flue gas-guiding plate (34) which, in a rest position, bears against the deflection plate (27) bounding the flue-gas channel (30). Furthermore, it has an end position which is at a distance from said deflection plate and in which the flue gas-guiding plate (34) is arranged, at least in part, parallel to the flue-gas outlet (31). <IMAGE>
