The invention relates to an apparatus for stacking and unstacking bulk material in a circular store and comprises a central framework supported on a base rotary bearing, by means of which central framework a scraper extension arm is borne, there being provided, in the connection between a discharge conveyor arranged underground and the scraper extension arm, a central bulk material receiving funnel which is surrounded annularly by the base rotary bearing which is supported in a central pit below the level of the bottom of the circular store. The radially inner end, which is bent off in a leg-like manner, of the scraper extension arm is assigned a trough chute which bridges the region above the base rotary bearing. These constructions result in small dimensions for the bulk material receiving funnel and the central pit and optimal utilisation of the circular store, the design of the apparatus being simple.
