PURPOSE:To obtain the present foaming agent, consisting of an organic decomposition type foaming agent and specific compound and capable of suppressing decomposition of the foaming agent if the temperature of a molten resin is high and providing an excellent expandable resin composition. CONSTITUTION:The aimed foaming agent consisting of (A) an organic decomposi tion type foaming agent (e.g., azodicarbonamide or N,N'-dinitro pentamethylenetetramine) and (B) a compound expressed by the formula (X is acyl or organic acid group) [e.g., 3-(N-salicyloyl)amino-1,2,4-triazole]. The above-mentioned foaming agent is blended with a polyolefin resin and thermally expanded to afford a foam. Furthermore, the amounts of the components based on 100pts.wt. polyolefin resin are preferably 2-30pts.wt. component (A) and 0.1-2.0pts.wt. component (B). |
