<p>Method for automatically assembling a longitudinally-split conical part in a cup, and means intended to implement it. Method, characterised in that a filling station (26) receiving cups (6) is fed with semi-conical parts carried by a slide (27) and introduced side by side into this filling station from two distribution guides, the semi-conical parts dropping into the cups (6) by being pushed, via the slide (27), with the aid of a pusher (33) against a lower finger for accompanying the dropping motion. Machine, characterised in that it is composed of a supply station (13), of a distribution slide (27) receiving the parts in order to transfer them, of a device (31) for pushing via the slide in order to load them, with the aid of an accompanying device, into cups (6) admitted into a rotary filling station (26) with a lateral inlet/outlet (47).
