Process for separating ethylene oxide from aldehydic impurities, starting with impure ethylene oxide, by distillation in a column so that the liquid stream leaving at the bottom of the column contains the water initially present in the impure ethylene oxide and ethylene oxide in a quantity by weight of between 0.15 times and 3 times that of water, while the ethylene oxide resulting from the separation of the aldehydic impurities leaves at the top of the column. |
