Espagnolette for recessing in the stile of the leaf of a window, french window or similar, comprising a case (2) in one piece with a faceplate (5), two locking rods (7) and (8) moving in opposite directions, disposed in the same alignment and flat against the inner face (4) of the faceplate (5), a mechanism comprising a spindle hole (6), presenting a salient part (26) traversing an opening (27) made in the faceplate (5), constituting a deadlock and directly operating the first locking rod (7), the extremity (9) of the first locking rod (7) being disposed along the inner face of the case (2), while the extremity (10) of the second locking rod (8) is returned against the bottom (12) of the case (2), characterized by the fact that the salient part (26) of the spindle hole (6) is disposed laterally in relation to the extremity (9) of the first locking rod (7) and by the fact that the spindle hole (6) indirectly operating, via a reversing element (16), the second locking rod (8), comprises a boby (14) partially housed in the extremity (10) of the second locking rod (8). |
