PURPOSE:To obtain an oxide superconductor having low specific resistance and connection resistance by mixing plural kinds of starting materials in a prescribed ratio, calcining the mixture, mixing the resulting oxide super conducting powder with metal oxide powder, molding and sintering the mixture. CONSTITUTION:Plural kinds of powdery starting materials such as Y2O3, BaCO3 and CuO are mixed in a prescribed ratio, calcined, e.g., at 900-950 deg.C in an O2 atmosphere for about 12hr and pulverized with a ball mill or the like to form oxide superconducting powder. This powder is mixed with powder of a metal oxide such as Ag2O, press-molded, sintered, e.g., at 900-950 deg.C in an O2 atmosphere and cooled to obtain an oxide superconductor such as a Y-Ba-Cu- O type oxide superconductor. |
