PATH SELECTION BETWEEN APPLICATION PROGRAMS FOR MULTI-TASK PROCESSING SYSTEM

PURPOSE: To directly access an application program in a short time while using a uniform procedure by using an array relation display cursor function which is optionally selected by the movement of a cursor in a computer display window. CONSTITUTION: An array relation display cursor function is activated and application programs which are sequenced in order that is discriminated by a file stored in a computer system and activated are connected at random to form a chain of the application programs. Then a user moves the cursor somewhere in a currently active window through a series of displays of opened windows of the chained application programs, and can open and display a next window or generate the connection relation of a new application program. Consequently, the different level of another application can be accessed by the uniform and simple procedure.
