<p>PURPOSE: To prolong the life of a negative electrode, by putting a porous body into a solution; composed of the mixture of an organic metal compound, for promoting electron emission and for forming powder used to sol-gel treatment; to maintain that condition to remove an organic catalyst, and increasing the temperature of the porous body until obtaining baking. CONSTITUTION: A solution which is composed of the adequate mixture of an organic metallic compound suitable for forming powder, for promoting electron emission and usable to sol-gel treatment is provided. A porous body is put into the solution to maintain this condition for an adequate time, and then an organic catalyst is removed. The temperature of the porous body is increased until the essential baking of a compound for impregnating the porous body can be obtained. Here, the wall of the hole 22 of the porous body is made lining by the compound 24 so as to preserve a free and fine channel 25 in the wall. This can embed the hole 22 only partially, thereby prolong the life of a negative electrode.</p> |
