PURPOSE:To simply excavate the ground in an oblong or elliptic cross section by a method in which a cutter shaft is supported in a rocking manner and set on a slider to move a drive motor for the cutter shaft in every direction. CONSTITUTION:The drive mechanism 14 of a cutter face 12 consists of a cutter shaft 26, a drive motor 28 connected to the rear end of the shaft 26, and a slider 30 on which the motor 28 is placed. The shaft 26 is operated by the motor 28 and the slider 30 in a turnable and rocking (in every direction) manner, by which a tunnel of oblong or elliptic cross section is formed with rocking movement. |
