The main object of the present invention is to produce hoops for elbows from sheet metal by shearing, with the aid of a chart without any form of marking, by means of a device comprising a blade (1) which is curved (2) and fixed on a table (3) equipped with a guide (5). A movable blade (7) mounted on a blade-carrier (8) shears the sheet (4) brought into contact with a retractable stop (17), the return being ensured by a spring (16). By operating with successive return and shearing of the sheet (4), hoops (13) are obtained of a width (l) which can vary depending on the elbow radius to be obtained. <IMAGE>
