摘要 PURPOSE: To suppress generation of stress concentration of a weight and to prevent the invasion of liquid such as water to the interior of a drive shaft by providing a tubular shaft and securing a weight to a dynamically balanced location of the shaft via an adhesive by a mechanical fastener. CONSTITUTION: A metal weight 4 is secured via a layer of an adhesive sealing agent 11 to a dynamically balanced location of a tubular drive shaft 2 made of a metal or a fiber-reinforced resin by a rivet 5. Then, a location of imbalance on the shaft 2 is determined on a balancer using a normal method, a hole 8 is opened in the position where the weight 4 is mounted, an adhesive sealing agent 11 is applied to the under surface of the weight 4, and the rivet 5 is attached to the shaft 2. As a consequence, a welding operation is omitted, the generation of thermal distortion is avoided, the generation of stress concentration of the weight 4 is suppressed, the invasion of liquid such as water into the interior of the drive shaft 2 is prevented, and the drive shaft 2 can be balanced accurately and rapidly.
