PURPOSE:To enhance sensitivity in a longer wavelength region by laminating a photosensitive layer made of diarsenic triselenide and a surface layer made of diarsenic triselenide containing titanyl phthalocyanine on a substrate. CONSTITUTION:The conductive substrate 1 of a sufficiently washed aluminum drum is set in a vacuum vessel and this vessel is evacuated. The substrate 1 is controlled to a constant temperature of 220 deg.C, and As2Se3 is vapor deposited to a thickness of 50mum to form the first photosensitive layer 2, and then the second surface layer 3 made of TiO-phthalocyanine-added As2Se3 by controlling the evaporation speeds of As2Se3 and TiO-phthalocyanine, thus permitting the photosensitive body sufficiently high in sensitivity up to the longer wavelength region and high in heat resistance to be obtained with high production yield. |
