PURPOSE:To provide a bath agent capable of retaining the smell of fresh citrons for a long period and not damaging the clarity of hot water when dissolved in the hot water, by extracting the citrons with carbon dioxide and allowing an absorbent to absorb the obtained extract to form a powder. CONSTITUTION:Citrons as a raw material are treated with a roughly crushing machine or squeezing machine and the resultant roughly crushed product or squeezed product is extracted with carbon dioxide (by a liquidized carbonic acid gas extraction method or ultracritical carbonic acid gas extraction method). The obtained extract is immediately absorbed into a readily dissolvable absorbent comprising mainly cyclodextrin to form a powder, which is used as a bath agent as it is or after compounded with a bath basic material. The volatilization of low boiling point smelling components contained in the extract is depressed due to the absorbent, thereby permitting to retain the smell for a long period. |
