PURPOSE:To provide an apparatus for producing a green ceramics sheet which has good surface smoothness and is not wrinkled at all at both transverse ends by providing heating rolls for normal drying of the green ceramics sheet while transferring the sheet by face-to-face contact in a drying stage. CONSTITUTION:The green ceramics sheet 1 is obtd. by subjecting a mixture composed of 'Metolose(R)' (CMC), glycerol, water, and the balance fine powder of alumina as ceramics to extrusion molding. Said sheet is then introduced into a primary drying section A and is tentatively dried on a belt conveyor 2. Namely, much of the solvent of the sheet 1 on a conveyor 2 is removed by the far IR rays from a far IR heater 3 to tentatively dry the sheet in the drying section A. The sheet 1 is then transferred onto the heating rolls 5 and is heated by the face-to-face contact on the surfaces of said rolls 5, by which the solvent is completely expelled and the tough green ceramics sheet product is obtd. The many heating rolls 5 are disposed in multiple stages in a frame body 9 of the drying section B. A tension roll 4 is provided to the inlet part of said drying section and guide rolls 6, 7 and a take-up bobbin 8 are respective ly provided to the rear part thereof. |
