The present system uses main water, a chemical cleanser and the CO2 to flush the system. The operator pours the cleanser into a cylinder and seals it with a cap. He then disconnects the tap head from the barrel and connects it to a bayonet socket. He then opens the bear pump tap and starts the process via an electronic controller. Water flows into the cylinder for a pre-determined time, after which a three-way valve (13) allows CO2 into the cylinder. After mixing, an electronic valve is opened and the mixture flushes through the system.
