A tubular film pack is produced for packing blocks, and chocolate bars in particular, by placing the film round the product, making a longitudinal seal on the main face, and compressing the ends into fins. The two longitudinal edges are folded over at each fin at a line at an angle to the longitudinal seal; the fins are then folded over a second line at a distance from the end of the product and across the longitudinal weld; and finally laid over the main face of the product. ADVANTAGES - The method ensures the formation of effective seals. It can be produced at high speeds. The final packs are aesthetically pleasing.
