<p>PURPOSE:To enable attached icy snow to be melted and removed without any disturbance of system operation, by selectively separating respective conductors of transmission lines formed into parallel multiple conductors, and by permitting the transmission current of a load to flow to all of the remaining conductors. CONSTITUTION:A generating station 1 and a transforming station 3 are con nected to each other with transmission lines 2. In the specific section of the transmission lines 2 on which forecast icy snow is attached, the lines 2 are formed with multiple conductors, and into the end sections of the respective conductors L1-L4, switches SW1-SW4 are inserted in series. When the icy snow is attached on the respective conductors L1-L4, then the switches SW1-SW4 are controlled, and the respective conductors L1-L4 are selectively separated, and by permitting the transmission current of a load to flow to all of the resid ual conductors, and with its generated heat, the icy snow is melted and is re moved there from.</p> |
