PURPOSE:To enhance CO purity by treating gas containing CO in the processes of temperature rise, adsorption, pressure reduction, washing and desorption respectively, recovering CO and dividing the desorption process into a preliminary desorption process and a main desorption process to carry out for 1/4 of the whole cycle time for recovering CO. CONSTITUTION:Raw material gas containing CO is pressurized by a compressor 10 and fed to an adsorption column A for carrying out the temperature rise process, and then CO is adsorbed by an adsorbent to which a Cu component is annexed and non-adsorbent components such as N2 and the like are discharged from a tube 2 into the outer air. The adsorption column A is connected with an adsorption column B, reduced in pressure and washed with CO gas from a product gas storage tank 6. After that, the pressure of the same is reduced by a small vacuum pump 70 down to atmospheric pressure or lower, and preliminary desorption is carried out, and then the pressure is further reduced by a vacuum pump 50 for 1/4 of one cycle time to carry out the main desorption process and desorption gas is recovered as product gas. |
