<p>PURPOSE:To reduce an ozone generation and also the operating cost of the whole air cleaner by pitching wire for corona discharge of at most, 60mum in diameter before a charging filter on the air inlet side of an air cleaner. CONSTITUTION:Four pieces of 300-mm-long discharge wire 3 which traverse an opening 2a for air suction are tensely pitched in a casing 2 with the opening 2a. At the same time, a power supply is connected with the discharge wire 3 and a charging filter 4 of a wire netting as an earthing electrode arranged behind the discharge wire 3. The air sucked through the opening 2a by a suction fan 5 has its contained dust charged positively by corona discharge from the discharge wire 3 when the air passes between the discharge wires 3. Next, when the air passes through a negatively charged charging filter 4, only dust is adsorbed and the air without dust is discharged from a discharge port 6.</p> |
