The invention relates to a head or foot piece of a single-tube support. For vertical adjustment, the head or foot piece has a spindle on which there is seated, by means of cones which can be braced with respect to one another, an expandable bracing sleeve which can be fixedly clamped on the tube on the inner side. The expandable bracing sleeve in conjunction with the cones ensures that the spindle is connected in a flexurally rigid manner to the tube, centrically therein. Accordingly, the load is channelled centrically from the tube, via an adjusting nut seated on the spindle, into said spindle. <IMAGE> |
