(where X1 and X1', are -CN, X2 and X2' are -CN or -COR, R1 = OR2, NHR2 or NR2R3, R2 and R3 = C1-22 alkyl, C3-21 oxaalkyl, C2-12 hydroxyalkyl, C5-23 dioxyalkyl, C4-12 hydroxyoxaalkyl, C3-18 alkenyl, 5-6 membered cycloalkyl of up to 12C, B2, C8-24 aralkyl (where aryl gp. is Ph or oxaalkyl-substd. Ph), C9-24 aryl substd. monooxaalkyl (where aryl is Ph or alkyl Ph), Ph, C7-20 alkyl Ph or C7-20 oxaalkyl Ph, Y and Y' = O, NHCO, NHSO2 or NHCO2, (last 3 being bonded by their N-atoms to rings A and B resp), R5 and R5' =Ph, C7-18 alkyl Ph, C7-18 oxyalkyl Ph, C1-5 alkyl, Ph-alkyl of up to 10C or alkyl-Ph-alkyl or up to 19C, R2 and R3 are free of gps. and R6 = C2-12 alkylene; C4-12 monooxaalkylene, C4-12 monothiaalkylene, C6-14 dioxaalkylene, C6-14 dithiaalkylene, C4-12 cycloalkylene, C8-22 aralkylene or C9-21 oxaaralkylene; any hetero-atom of R6 is separated from the next hetero-atom in Y or Y' or any other in R6 by at least 2C; rings A and B are opt. monosubstd. by F, Cl, Br, C1-5 alkyl or C1-8 alkoxy; when Y = 0, n = 1 or 2, in all other cases, n = 2) are useful UV-absorbers.</p> |
