<p>PURPOSE:To improve water quality efficiently, by providing a specific down duct and a lifting pipe, injecting air into the bottom of the lifting pipe from an air feed nozzle so that the water lifted to the upper end of the lifting pipe is caused to flow into the upper end portion of the down duct, causing said water to be delivered to the bottom of the water. CONSTITUTION:An aeration pump 20 is actuated to inject compressed air into a lifting pipe 15 from an air feed nozzle 18, whereby the water in the lifting pipe 15 is caused to rise by air lift, thereby a negative pressure is produced in the opening 16 at the lower end of the lifting pipe 15, causing the surface water to be sucked into the pipe 15, while at the same time the water in the lifting pipe 15 is caused to rise therethrough due to the air injection from the air feed nozzle 18, with the quantity of dissolved oxygen in the water increasing thereby and overflows from the opening at the upper end of the pipe and falls into the upper end portion of the down duct 13. In this manner, the water level in the down duct 13 becomes higher than the outside water level 11, causing the water in the duct 13 to be pushed down due to the difference in water levels, so that the water is sent to the lower portion of the bottom of the water through a discharge ports 14, resulting thereby in an improved water quality at the lower portion of the water.</p> |
