PURPOSE:To discharge static electricity generated on or in a cassette and prevent electrification, by coating the inner and outer walls of the cassette with a static eliminating agent comprising a composite material of a conductive metallic oxide and an organic binder. CONSTITUTION:The inner and outer walls of a cassette containing a belt-shaped body, e.g., a tape or a ribbon therein and provided therein with a feeding passage for the belt-shaped body are coated with a static eliminating agent comprising a composite material of a conductive metallic oxide and an organic binder. With the inner and outer walls of the cassette coated with the static eliminating agent, it is possible to impart conductivity to the inner and outer walls and to thereby remove static electricity generated on the cassette. In addition, even when static electricity is generated on the ribbon, tape, a reel or the like in the cassette, it is possible to provide secure shielding against. the static electricity. |
